Rare Blue Pietersite Necklace: Five smooth oval stone beads hang on rolo style chain with lobster clasp. Pietersite is a stone related to Tigereye, but the shimmery bands appear in patches of random directions (instead of all one direction). This high grade Pietersite ranges from dark midnight blue (nearly black) to silvery light blue, with rust brown patches and flecks. Most Pietersite is predominantly brown, with occasional chatoyance. This necklace features hard-to-find Blue Pietersite (AKA Black Pietersite) which has plenty of chatoyance (the shimmery effect that changes in the light). Very unique necklace.
SIZE: Beads are about 10mm across, 13mm long, 5-6mm thick. Total length of bar including wire loops is 2 3/4 inches (70mm). Necklace is 18 inches long.
Expect features characteristic of natural stone beads, including surface imperfections, inclusions, etc. Note that colors and brightness vary on different monitors. You get the exact piece shown here.
METAL: All metal components are at least .925 Sterling Silver. Chain and wire are .935 Argentium Silver, which is more resistant to tarnish (storing it in a closed container when not wearing for periods of time is still recommended). Argentium is made from ethically sourced silver, and the properties of Argentium reduce manufacturing time, labor and resources.
SHIPPING: Ships within USA via Priority Mail, fully insured with tracking.
